How To Remove Pine Sap From Outdoor Furniture

Love pine trees but hate the sap on all your outdoor furniture? We are right there with you.

Pine sap can be incredibly annoying and can even ruin your furniture. Here's our go-to method for removing it, starting with a small square of the material to know how it is affected:

Hard Surfaces:

  1. Use a scraper to scape off excess hardened sap

  2. Dap ONLY one of the following products: WD-40, bacon grease, nail polish remover, or rubbing alcohol with a rag or sponge until the "stick" is removed

  3. Use a dish soap and water solution to scrub away any leftover residue

Cushions:

  1. Use a ratio of 1:16 cold water and dawn dish soap

  2. Dip a cloth or nylon-bristled scrub brush into the solution

  3. Scrub and repeat, if needed!

*Disclaimer* Please use a test area to know how the method reacts to the material!
