Plant care guide

If we recently installed plants, here’s a guide on how you can best take care of your plants!

Flowering Plants

(e.g., Roses, Hydrangeas, Marigolds, Petunias)

  • Light: Most prefer full sun (6+ hours/day)

  • Water: Deep, consistent watering; avoid wet leaves

  • Humidity: Natural outdoor conditions usually sufficient

  • Soil: Rich, loamy soil with compost

  • Tip: Deadhead to promote continuous blooms

Shrubs & Evergreens

(e.g., Boxwood, Juniper, Azalea, Lavender)

  • Light: Full sun to partial shade depending on species

  • Water: Water deeply but less frequently once established

  • Humidity: Adaptable

  • Soil: Well-drained; some (like azaleas) prefer acidic

  • Tip: Prune after flowering or in early spring

Foliage Plants

(e.g., Hostas, ferns, grasses)

  • Light: Low to medium light; tolerant of shade

  • Water: Allow soil to dry between waterings

  • Humidity: Tolerant of dry air

Herbs

We don’t often install these on your landscape designs, but if you have some on your Patio!
